In Hawthorn we did a vinyl flake floor coating for a commercial kitchen in a cafe. The cafe is based inside Swinburne University and caters to students living and studying at Swinburne University.
Here are some photos of the floor before we started the new floor.
We first applied coving to the walls to create a seamless joint between the walls and wall to be in accordance with Food Standards Australian New Zealand. View their food safety handbook.
Once the floor had been grinded and the coving was in place. We then applied a grey epoxy coating to the floor area.
We used vinyl flakes with the epoxy coating to provide a non-slip surface. Vinyl flakes are an ideal non-slip solution as the floor is easy to clean while maintaining grip.
